Fortune 1000

A Fortune 1000 company with a large concurrent user base wanted to migrate from their proprietary platform to a UNIX environment. Their software suite was written in the hardware vendor’s proprietary COBOL and script/macro language. Their data was stored in a proprietary hierarchical database.

Datatek converted their COBOL to an Open System COBOL product and their script/macro files to native scripting language files, using Datatek's automated conversion utilities. Additionally, Datatek replaced their data manager with TBAM. Some other Datatek products used at this site are TBAM Dump/Load and SAID.
